Hey Everyone,

Another great reason to be in New Orleans is that we are like a magnet for conferences. That’s one of the city’s central industries (business tourism). So if you pick an industry, or want to investigate, the ability to attend conferences is a really cool thing. We always get student discounts.

For example, I write this blog post from An Event Apart. I’m a total nerd. That’s ok. That’s me. This conference is in the Hilton Riverside with 4 other industry conferences going on simultaneously. I called the conference directly and asked for a student discount. They obliged and here I am meeting people like mad. Everyone likes students… We’re like puppies.
