Quick interview with John, the Director of Graduate Education at the Freeman School. John’s the one responsible for helping plan future classes, class times, the trips abroad (Mexico, France, China), and a bunch of other stuff.
I talk with John about the upcoming trip to Paris in December - less than 60 days away!

Update from Tulane President Scott Cowen
August 21st, 2007 · No Comments
Dear Prospective Student:
The weather isn’t the only thing hot in New Orleans this summer. Tulane
University was named one of the 25 “Hottest Schools in America” this week by
the 2008 Kaplan/Newsweek “How to Get into College” guide. Schools on the
“Hottest” list offer top academic programs but also are generating extra
buzz this year, according to the creators […]

US Colleges drop out of US News rankings
June 24th, 2007 · No Comments
CNN article regarding the (semi?)mass exodus from US News and World Report college rankings. No mention of any top 25 schools doing this (shocker), but it’s nice to see some schools step away from the old and methodical ranking system.
US News, Wall St Journal, Financial Times, etc. rankings on undergrad/grad schools are important because […]

Word of mouth speaks directly to students
June 12th, 2007 · No Comments
The Financial Times has an article about MBA bloggers and the impact they’re having on the admissions process. Tulanemba.org is mentioned, as well as Owenbloggers, and Berkeley.
It’s nice to have an impartial view from inside the school that’s not a mouthpiece for the school. The posts/comments you see here are straight from students. […]

Tulane University President Scott Cowen has an interesting story to tell about one graduating MBA:
Dear Prospective Student:
Today approximately 2,000 young (and, in some cases, not so young)
scholars will become graduates of Tulane University. Our graduates will
embark on many diverse paths upon completion of their degrees. One in
particular has chosen a less traditional path.
In his first […]

DONE!
May 11th, 2007 · No Comments
I’m done! The first year of my MBA experience is behind me. In the last two weeks I’ve given 3 group presentations (video below), written no less than 50 pages of single spaced drivel…er…gold, traded 300 or so emails and spent 20 hours or so in group meetings. Whew!
How does it feel […]
