I was lucky enough to squeeze in a few minutes with Dean DeNisi earlier this week. He’s a pretty busy guy - in addition to all his dean-ly duties, the Dean also taught one of my classes this fall.
In our conversation, we talk about the hiring of additional faculty, where different programs in the business school are headed next year, and growing the class.

I appreciate you both taking the time to update everyone. There’s a feeling that things are improving & I’ve tried to keep up with the Strategy Dept.
Think we could get some blog time with the new strategy hires?

Great interview. It was good to see Dean DeNesi provide such candid responses. My concern has, and continues to be, whether or not leadership in the business school is aggressively making decisions that positions the Tulane MBA program for sustained visibility and excellence.

On the subject of faculty, I’d like to hear from the Dean why Fundamental & Technical Trading (FINC780) isn’t being offered in the Spring…

Fair enough, Wanna B. I’ll forward your comment onto the Dean and invite him to respond here…but just shooting from the hip I’m betting he’s not the guy that makes these decisions. -Joel

Wanna B: I spoke with the Dean and he writes, “Leslie McNew has resigned effective the end of this semester. Joe LeBlanc was hired to teach a few courses in the energy sector for us, but does not work here full time, so we have no one to teach the course. We are working with Joe to hire him full-time so that we will be able to expand the trading course offerings soon.”
