So for those of you outside New Orleans, it’s officially Mardi Gras. We actually started last weekend. It’s the third Mardi Gras since the hurricane and all is well. This is the earliest Mardi Gras in like a billion years or something, which means its pretty cold. Friday’s parades (pronounced PAW-rades) were rained out. They rescheduled for Monday night. Wednesday Jan 30 marked the start of the march to Fat Tuesday. Highlights will include:
Muses – All female crew Thursday night.
Morpheus - Friday
Endymion – Saturday
Bacchus – Sunday
Orpheus – Monday
Zulu – Tuesday
New Orleans is going to be a mad house until Wednesday. I’m trying to get my accounting HW, real estate project duties, business plan duties, blog duties, internship duties, okmango.com duties, global leadership reading, flatsourcing.com duties, etc… all out of the way… so I can go to the PAW-rade.
Word to the wise… when you come to school next year, don’t drink your face off at Mardi Gras. You’ll have an accounting problem set and a quiz and some homework due starting at 8AM the next day. Yikes! Mardi Gras is certainly a slick perk to coming to New Orleans.
