Organization pays…

March 1st, 2008 · No Comments

You know how all those job posts say, “detail-oriented,” “well-organized,” and so on?

Well there is a reason for it. And business school will show you. The average class I get 7 hand-outs per class. Many classes make us buy access to this worthless, stone age non-sense called study.net. It’s where you can buy digital versions of Harvard cases, while making sure that Harvard still get its money, even though tuition goes up faster than inflation and the endowment still grows… I digress…

Anyways. Study.net means you have to print multiple 30-page documents and make your own course-packet. Sigh. Every meeting results in more paper. Every class has me downloading more documents from blackboard, printing and piling up in my apartment.

What does that mean? That the last few days during exams, I haven’t been able to find the bits of paper that make erythang come together.

So… super organization Saturday. Today everything will become organized. I have a 3-hole punch and couple of new binders, some dividers… The paper pile will comply.

Lesson learned.
