Hey everyone,

Here is the local paper’s recap of the Salman Rushdie Speech.

I liked it. He was funny and interesting. He spent most of his time talking about the fatwah that was issued against him by the Ayotallah of Iran. He ultimately prevailed and the Ayotallah was killed, which is rather ironic. Since that happened like a million years ago, I was sort of surprised that he wanted to talk about it (still). He didn’t even mention either of his last two books, which I thought were brilliant.

Anyways… he’s good. Check him out. He writes a lot about the East vs. the West, which is especially interesting to MBA’s at the moment.
